Hey,

I don't know if you remember this, but I did have a brief chat with you about a game I would love to make up. However, I'm not sure you were too keen on the idea, Matlu. Therefore, I didn't really mention it again; but, if you're interested in it, I would be happy to supply you with details and the such. However, that's completely up to you. As you may recall, though, there were certain terms that we would have to agree upon.

Anyways, if you want to take me up on that offer, just tell me. Wink It's an offer that is still open, should you wish to take me up on the offer. Grin

Sincerely,

Douglas 2085

As far as I remember you said that you have some super-uber-cool idea for multiplayer RPG game (you did not mention any details) and you wanted to create and run this game. I should only make one minor favour for you: program it. It is really not possible. I tried to explain you that it takes months, or more likely years to create such game, and in fact it is almost insane idea that one single person will ever finish it. So I will be very happy if I manage to create my own game, and I will not be too surprised if I fail.
The fact is that there are too many people who have ideas, but too few people can make them real. Thus I cannot just agree with any idea, I have to care about my own ideas first.
If you are sure that it so super-uber-cool idea then you can mention it to me, but I cannot guarantee you anything.

I had an idea for a game a while back, and got it published.  The game got taken up by a designer, who I'd imagine got a fair amount of cash, & all I got was the satisfaction of seeing my concept come to life.

Matlu's right (!)... Unless you're willing to spend the next few years of your life dedicated to learning c++ & have some very dedicated GFX mates (or if you're a rich c-nut), don't hold out any hope of seeing a penny from your thoughts.

Just chuck the idea about & let others pick it up.

Oh btw, Matlu, I have a great idea for a game.  Terms & conditions upon request.

well, you cannot be sure, it's not very easy to earn money from games. (Unless it's top selling AAA game of course)
I'm a bit curious though what game it was? If possible please send a link Smiley

aaaand:
- anybody may have an idea which he considers super-uber-cool. But not all of them are even realistic(according to given timeframe and available resources). Non-programmers often have very great (and naive) ideas, which are often impossible to make real. Only experienced programmer can tell whether such thing can really exist. (Douglas I'm not saying that your particular idea is bad, it still may be great. I mean it in general)
