Title: bakster bug
Post by: flamingdragon on September 30, 2006, 08:56:24 PM
I have found the biggest virus ever, it is bakster. I believe he is really a computer that is programmed to go onto this forum and post spam. Not even banning him has stopped his reign of terror. There may be no hope left.

LOL

You're not meant to laugh at your own jokes. Or at least you're not meant to post yourself laughing.

I WAS talking about that website.
Only it's ALOT better than limewire. 1st of all it's not spyware, and u can download anything, not just songs, but games, apps, e.c.t.
Title: Re: bakster bug
Post by: eddie on October 02, 2006, 08:22:46 AM
sooo ur saying rhapsody only has 250 songs on it? wow thats ALOT better then limewire... and u can download all those on limewire 2, although i use etomi pro.  i was using limewire as an example cause most people know of it
Title: Re: bakster bug
Post by: flamingdragon on October 02, 2006, 03:30:04 PM
What do u mean rhapsody only has 250 songs on it??
That is a lot of songs for one band.
I am downloading the 250 songs from the band rhapsody on the site that is like limewire.
Title: Re: bakster bug
Post by: Love on October 02, 2006, 04:26:09 PM
They have 7 albums, 2 Demos, one live album and a compilation. And only 3 singles (Although a lot more than 3 music videos on limewire).

And a good chunk of their songs last over 10 minutes, some lasting to nearly 20 minutes. No less than 4 minutes though. Which is the opposite to Sum 41, whose songs last no more than 4 minutes ;)

Yet they are my two favourite bands... :o

Title: Re: bakster bug
Post by: Dodger on October 02, 2006, 11:47:07 PM
Yes. I use bitlord. So why are you arguing with me, that's what I was talking about.

Torrents are NOT p2p.
Title: Re: bakster bug
Post by: flamingdragon on October 02, 2006, 11:48:23 PM
yes they are
Title: Re: bakster bug
Post by: Dodger on October 02, 2006, 11:57:31 PM
Well, it's the same but different. :P.

p2p like Limwire connects directly to transfer files, torrents use online servers/trackers...

Whatever ;D I use Bitlord and Azureus.
Title: Re: bakster bug
Post by: flamingdragon on October 03, 2006, 12:00:10 AM
BitComet is way better than BitLord
Title: Re: bakster bug
Post by: flamingdragon on October 03, 2006, 12:00:58 AM
and limewire does suck.
Title: Re: bakster bug
Post by: Dodger on October 03, 2006, 12:15:18 AM
Bitlord has more features. And I've found Azureus gives me faster download speeds. I tend to alternate between them.

Limewire is demonic.
Title: Re: bakster bug
Post by: anima on October 03, 2006, 12:16:42 AM
Why is limewire demonic?  :'(
Title: Re: bakster bug
Post by: flamingdragon on October 03, 2006, 12:22:25 AM
Maybe because it's spyware.  ::)
Title: Re: bakster bug
Post by: Love on October 03, 2006, 04:11:31 PM
Limewire owns you torrent nubs.
Title: Re: bakster bug
Post by: eddie on October 04, 2006, 04:07:18 AM
i use etomi pro, which is basicly the same as limewire, but less spyware for music and other little things, but i use torrents for movies, progs, ect... i know u can get musixc from torrents, but its alot faster/lazier to download em p2p
Title: Re: bakster bug
Post by: flamingdragon on October 04, 2006, 04:11:38 AM
I'm telling you, bittorrent is p2p

At this site called P2Pforums, there is a specific section for bittorrent.
http://p2pforums.com/
That proves it.

Another random input from wuff puff, but I agree, for though I do not hate dragon, I dislike some parts about him on the forums BUT that's just the way life goes. Dragon proably doesn't like things about me either.

So, where were we with this topic again? Oh yeah the Bakster Bug. Hey did the duel board forums ever get rid of this apparent bug?

U said u were the eldar right?
How far have u gotten and at what difficulty?

I'm doing normal and I took the first territory from the space marines easy, but then when I try to take the next space marines terriory, or the Tau Empires terriotory I get my ass kicked!!!!!
Just when I start to get a large army I am overwhelmed by hundreds of enemy soldiers w/ a librarian so I get my ass kicked and building cloak is worthless.

Just when I start to get a large army I am overwhelmed by hundreds of enemy soldiers w/ a librarian so I get my ass kicked and building cloak is worthless.

I think I'm on either Normal or Hard. Firstly I moved right. Into the Uplands or whatever, taking it from Marines. Then I defended an attack there from Tau. Then I kept moving right and took the HQ from marines without a hitch. Easy.
Then I started moving down, wiping out the rest of the Marines territories, until I got to the Imperial Guard HQ. (the territory before that was the hardest battle I have ever fought, I could make no ground and we were stuck in a huge stalemate for like 2 hours.)
Anyway, I destroyed the Imp Guard HQ without a hitch. And tried to move down further towards chaos. Defeated Necrons, in the Badlands.
(All this time I have been defending the uplands next to my HQ from orcs, and Tau, who attack almost every turn. I have built like three bases there so the battles don't take long for me to win.)
After the badlands I am stuck, I don't want to move my commander away from it because I know I wont be able to defend an attack against it without her from Necrons, and I can't make any more ground.

/End essay.

Hope that helps.

Ok, I got the beginning down, am no longer being killed in 5 min. I just get the strategic points as quickly as pssible and put listening posts on them and then I can get an army up fast.

The problem now is, whenever I destroy there base, they start making another one almost immediately and I cant finish them off an when I destroy there next base, they get another one up, and eventually my entire army is killed by the retarded cloaked Tau units. So there's one thing that could help me alot:
WHAT THE HELL IS THE DETECTOR UNIT FOR THE ELDAR!!!

I can't find out what it is!!!!

Seer Council has been totally uberised. They are now the best unit you can possibly get. (Look at the updates if you don't believe me)
For example they now take 50% less damage from range. And lots of awesome to that effect, especially if you upgrade them.

Also if you attach the Farseer to the squad then it makes her even more awesome. Mainly her magic recharges way faster.

In other words, GET THEM ASAP.

In most games, I get the seer council as quick as possible and attach Farseer to the sqaud.
Unfortunately in most games so far, I lost.
