Its kind of like grade school all over again noone wants to play with the new kid :-[
I started playing Rook in 1975. That was a lo-o-o-o-ong time ago. I joined this site to play Rook, and almost every table I went to, the players said "no newbies" and got up and left. I guess when they first started the other players were probably rude to them to. I don't have an answer for you. Be persistent.
