Option 8: Battle Cruisers

Well, duh, what do you think your supposed to do?
Cyber Wars -the only really good original(sort of) game that Jagex has ever made.
Battlethings -kind of dumb, but I enjoyed coming up with monsters that were good enough to kill things that were a level higher. That's all...
Crypt -kind of pointless, but fun for just chillin and chatting
Dungeon -I don't remember how this was diff. from crypt and MM
Mystery Monster -duuuhhhhh! Oh wow pretty monsters!
Chess -Fun, but chess is always good.
Checkers -same as Chess.(though I prefer Chess)
Battle Cruisers -Boring
Reversi -okay
Mahjong -Huh?
Pairs -teh cybersecks? (I'm serious lol, people went there to do hot chat, not that I know from personal experience.. I overheard people in the lobby...)
Go Mad -I liked it.
Backgammon -Fruity

It is VERY far from being original. As I wrote in "about" part, the *more* advanced game already existed in 1984. Sadly, nowadays it's not easy to play, you need ZX spectrum emulator, and it has weird controls (no mouse support of course).
And there are pretty much other clones around. Unfortunately CW was the only usable online-multiplayer clone so far.
i got the choices of a screenshot of the game
Cyber Wars, Mystery Monster, Crypt, and Dungeon were my favourites.
Cybers Wars- Ridiculously fun
Mystery Monster- The first game I was ever good at... I remember, oh wee little me was so excited when I got over 150 points
Crypt- Pretty original, very fun
Dungeon- I dunno, I just really liked this game. yeah.
Battle cruisers, quad link, pairs, and reversi weren't too bad either.
Treasure Crypt got my vote. It was the game that got me hooked at the castle first and I liked how it was non-confrontational (guess Castle Dungeon was too, but that game didn't have any Trolls :-P). After being gone for a while, it was nice to return and play some Cyber Wars and then a little Treasure Crypt, usually against the same people. Of course whoever got lucky (actually got friendly Trolls, found the most Gems, Magic Bows, Magic Swords and anything else that added another 40 points on) usually won it, as it was done by whoever got the highest score at the end of the game (when there were no tiles left). Knowing the lack of originality on Jagex's part, I am guessing it was based on some earlier game (different name, probably different creatures and items).
crypt was also the first game that got me hooked to the castle
(first time i played cyber wars i was 'null' [gotta be pretty old school to remember that bug]) that turned me off to it for ages
um...
Battlethingz is spelled with a "z"...
Anyway, that was always my favorite game, though I liked CW a lot as well.

You are all clearly crazy. The correct answer is mystery monster. Only reason I am here is so that I may gather information for jagex. I will tell them what is going on then they will reward me with unlimited mystery monster games. The perfect plan. I can't wait. :-*
Let's make I deal, when I finish this game, I'll start working on mystery monsters ;)

Do I dare double cross the Jagex power house? :-\
Lol, if you really want to make one, but sadly there was never any mystery monster fanbase. I trust your time can be better spent. If you do make a mystery monster game, I'll play it though. 8)
In fact I have no idea how MM looked like. My plan was to continue with some simplier, yet interesting game (checkers). It could be done quite fast, and could attract some more people. Anyway CW has to be finished first (I think the major part is already done, it won't take long)
I love playing Chest. Err- Chess.
I think i played MM once and hated it.....but Crypt was fun.
you should work on cyrpt before you make mystery monster, youd get more people, although i dont know where youd get all the pictures.
its kinda funny how large this poll has gotten.
i think you should just worry about cyberwars for now, just whatever you do, never make a battlethingz game, i despised that game, lol
Hey! Just...Hey!
Battlethingz rocked...
anyone remeber the name '7' on the battethingz highscores?
(it was there like 12 times hard to miss)
BattleThingz and CW. i had a level 80 or so creature. i used the heal like a shield. then attacked at the right opporitunity. it took long, but i got most of my wins that way. last i remember, i had a unicorn head, a radiation body, and an electric tail. tons of energy came with it. shock 'till you can't no more, heal. wait for opening, shock. heal. man. i remember most of what i did there. i have a really good memory of castle, so matlu, ask me anything if you need help. i am willing to answer questions.
well, enough of my blabbering and remembering. battlethingz and CW. :)
battlethingz got lame when people just started 'trading points'

As opposed to using the fine art (and bug) of cloning? Crypt was definitely boss. Screw Battle Thingz. It will just cannibalize the player base for the cw clone. MM was just a bootlegged "Guess Who?" and not a very good one.
Almost everything in CGD was a "bootlegged" version of another game.
1. Cyber wars
2. Crypt
3. Battle Thingz
The three things that should be on the site.

3. Cyber Wars
4. Cyber Secks

Mahjong is very fun to play, although I never played the CGD one......

I'm suprised no one has mentioned Mahjong. The people who played were rather nice although they did tend to keep to themselves. I feel bad that the lost their small little community. :-\ Did anyone else play the occasional Mahjong game? :)
I didn't play it myself, but sort of knew some (Brighter42 and Angelkiss) who did because they also played Treasure Crypt. Maybe by mentioning names of former players, they could find their way here on their own if they were to search for their name on a search engine. :)

I played mahjong every once in a while to take a break from cyberwars, i always had a hard time finding a game to play though, maybe it was my odd hours, lol. but other than that i really liked the mahjong game, i still play on yahoo
(curse them) every now and then

why would they search for their nickname that was on an old website?
hey matlu, do you know if this is the biggest thread on the forum yet?
I know it isnt, because my graphics thread is bigger.
Yeah, I still miss battlethingz sometimes...
But most of the tails were useless because of electric tail. TAKE DOWN THE POWER OF ELECTROCUTE if you ever re-make it, Matlu! It was the only tail people ever used.

Exactly. For example there is still single-player game "Flea circus" on jagex site. It's nothing else, but a remake of ancient game "Lemmings" (I hope you know it)
lemmings is awesome. I still have it. I also have Lemmings paintball.
Well, most - if not all - jagex games were just remakes of older, successful games.
Anybody know, if Battlethingz (and Crypt) was remake of something? I could perhaps make such games (some people request it), but it would be good to see originals (and it would also make me feel safer)
fav 3 games:
1. battlethingz
2. cyber wars
3. crypt
Who are all these people who posted on the first page...and where did they go?
i have no idea bakster.
i have pictures of all the games on my other computer i can try and get them if you want
