Title: Attack / Defence Game
Post by: Parsley on May 11, 2006, 01:43:34 PM
Simple.

One person takes this picture (below) and draws something attacking the guy.

(The attack can't touch the guy, and has to be at least 20+ pixels away).

The next person takes the picture, and draws a defence to that attack.

Then someone does another attack, etc...

Keep the attacks small to start - we can always start afresh when it gets too messy, but let's get a fair few att/def's in before that.

Oh, defences can be on the guy directly, btw.

E.g.

Attack: someone draws a gun firing a bullet at his head
Defence: a helmet

Attack: 10 tonne weight above his head
Defence: a spring on his head.

etc.

Ults, it really just requires some common sense. Copy the picture (right click the picture and press "copy") then open "PAINT" and paste the picture into Paint.

Then, either draw the gernade or find a picture of a gernade on the internet and paste the picture on top of the other picture.

I'm not even taking your last attempt seriously because it looks like crap.

I feel sorry for that poor guy, being attacked for no reason.

But when defenses come from nowhere, I don't feel sorry for him.

I can't paste an image onto another image in paint without the new image overwriting the first image...Help?

*Awaits a Dodger tutorial*

I'm sick of being the guy who helps with everything. Noob.

SIR GUT: READ THIS POST

HOW TO POST AN IMAGE USING IMAGESHACK.US (http://imageshack.us)

1. FINDING AN IMAGE:
open your favorite web browser, IE ((http://jrgraphix.net/images/browsers/ie.png)), netscape ((http://www.istat.it/servizi/studenti/binariodie/Stat_per_esempi/netscape.gif)), or firefox ((http://jrgraphix.net/images/browsers/firefox.png)).  click the address bar at the top and goto the search engine of your choice.  (http://www-oss.fnal.gov/~mengel/img/google-logo-small.png) and (http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/ws/w2/yahoo_logo.gif) are prefered, because of the image search.  type in what you want to search for and hit  the "enter" key on your keyboard:

then, look through the images that apear, and click one.  once it loads, click on "see full sized image:
(http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/2350/g14fx.png) (http://imageshack.us)

2. SAVING THE IMAGE:
now right click the image, and click "save picture as"
(http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/954/g38fe.png) (http://imageshack.us)

then goto the folder of your choice.  ill use the desktop for this example, and click save.
(http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/9851/g41df.png) (http://imageshack.us)

3. USING IMAGESHACK.US (http://imageshack.us):
now go back to the adress bar (you remember the adress bar, dont you?) well, type in:
imageshack.us (http://imageshack.us)
and hit the enter key:

once you get there, click "browse"
(http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/8691/g53aa.png) (http://imageshack.us)

find the folder where you placed the picture, click it, and hit open
(http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/7545/g63cb.png) (http://imageshack.us)

now comes the tricky part! this is really technical now. there will be a total of 8, yes 8  :o links you can choose from, and only ONE worksyou need to click on the FORTH link from the top.  it will be the 1st one under the picture.  it will say "hotlink to forums 1"
(http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/6292/g79tf.png) (http://imageshack.us)

once you click the link, right click your mouse, and hit copy.

4. POSTING THE PICTURE
now, once you are posting on duelboard.com, right click and hit paste in your text box.  it will just be text, but DONT WORRY! when you hit "post", the picture will magicly appear where the text was (david blaine tought me that trick). the finished product will look like this:
(http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/1625/brid8pe.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)

i hope this helps you a little, because it took me about 20 mins, with the pics and everything

http://img113.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bakster3mg.jpg (http://img113.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bakster3mg.jpg)

There. If the picture you are pasting is bigger than the image you are pasting it onto then it will go 'over the top' of it. If you resize it, your picture will be underneath.

>>I mistakenly thought that everyone knew this. I don't know how you can get this old without knowing how to use paint at all.  :-\

Good threads always get spammed, lol. And yeah I know, I'm not one to be talking as I among a few others am the King of Spam.

Dodger, make a tutorial thread and put you tutorials on there.
