Why not add something original to these one player games.
Pac Man/Arkanoid with an RPG element...
Choose a class for PacMan/Arkanoid & as you gain experience, you get to spend experience points on various permanent upgrades.
- you suggest to make an arcade game, with rpg elements.
- I would prefer rpg without arcade (or with very little arcade)
- btw I also want it (massively) multiplayer, and I really cannot imagine multiplayer arkanoid-with-rpg-elements
I really want to make some multiplayer rpg game, and I will make a dedicated section on this forum for it (when I finish at least some basic prototype of the game)
they do have arcade rpg... its called gauntlet...

yes, I know it, it's very old game (from 8 bit computers). It might be cool to have such game, but there are some technical difficulties with games which are "too arcade". I mean network latency and such stuff.
I guess I would not dare to make a game which requires real-time response :-/ I'm afraid there is high risk of encountering problems.
