I got banned for nothing...along with some other innocent people. There are no rules posted for us to go by. We can say lmao and not lmfao...Give us some kind of rules to go by before you just ban us for nothing. You are playing dictator. Banning people for ridiculous stuff. I mean come on...a nic with the word "naked" in it. That is so wrong.

Matlu.. A list of rules would be NICE !!!! ;) Lately there has been ALOT of banning and there doesn't seem to be any set of rules for what is appropriate. Banning for using different nics.... I don't know... that allows a person to express themselves, so long as there are no curse words in them, I see no problem with them (a naked nic... well, I've seen MUCH worse in there.) So long as the nic is not making fun of another person, or has curse words in it... what's the problem? ??? Anyway, FoSho speaks her mind (which I like) and doesn't bother anyone. The banning i think is out of control over the petty stuff like Naked nics , flooding the lobby , and so on , there are always gonna be people you cant make happy and always stupid people that got nothing better to do than complain. If you dont like what you see in the lobby go play a game and stay out of it. If you get bagged or think you have cheated no need to go whinning to all in the lobby , just dont play with them no more , i mean come on grow up people. Its not the people with naked nics or the people who talk alot in lobby that cause the problems its the little whinny people who like i said aint ever gonna be happy, if it was me i would ban people for WHINNING and tell them to go to nicjr.com and play games with the other children.
This is a great site and you have done a fantastic job with it as far as im concerned far better than games.com ever was but lately all the whinning and banning is destroying it.

Yesterday, in Lobby, Matlu made the comment that all the people with the "naked" nics "need help." I took exception to that because April (my gf) had a "naked" nic in, and I told him she didn't need any help. He said maybe not yet, but she will. Well, anyone that knows me knows that pissed me off. All i asked from Matlu was an apology which I haven't got yet. Making a general statement like that about a group of people you don't know is wrong........would be like me saying all people who wear turbans are terrorists or all Americans are idiots......may be true for some but not all.
In my opinion, and I may get banned for expressing my opinion, Matlu is banning people for the most ridiculous of reasons. Perhaps a 3 day suspension as warning first would go over alot better.

We requested a million times to have moderators in games.com, now we have a site with moderators and you are STILL not happy!!!! And a FREE site at that, that is not run by some big company that couldn't care less about the players ???
I don't know who the moderators are and really don't care. I do hope they picked them carefully and not ones that are power hungry egomantiacs that don't have the ability or skills to try and resolve an issue before kicking someone from the site.
As far as the lanugage goes, I am happy to see it cleaned up and the suggestive nics that are used also. Why the suggestivce nics anyway, is it to get attention??? Some kind of insecurity issue??? LMFAO, of course this could mean Laughing My "Fat" Ass Off, but we all know that's not what it means and WTF, hummmmmmmm what does that mean??????
If the person that sent me the IM to come to this site and post, expecting me to post for them and against the site, they were sadly mistaken in asking me to post.
I do agree that ALL sexually suggestive nics should be removed from the site and all players who cause problems, attempt to fuel a fire, curse, harass, stalk, spam the lobby, verbally attack other players etc, all should be asked to correct whatever the problem is and if problem is not resolved then they should be banned from the site.
I DO NOT think it is right to ask a moderator to boot a player just because someone is baggin!!!!!!!!!!!! If someone is baggin just make note not to never play with them again, why do you want to ask someone to use their authority to get rid of a player that is beating you? Face it, there are baggers and there always will be baggers, IT's JUST A GAME FOR HEAVEN"S SAKE!!!!!!!!!!! But you will have moderators who will do that for their "special friends", that is why I hope that whoever was in charge of assigning moderators to the site knew what they were doing.
Don't ask me to support your ban or protest against Duelboard. I am not on either side, however, if I had to choose sides it would be the side of Duelboard, as they are the ones who provided me a place to PLAY ROOK at their OWN EXPENSE and I am willing to play according to their rules whether written or not, they are the rules of common sense and courtesty towards others, providing a safe, CLEAN, family friendly place to play Rook.
If you have been offended by being booted, banned ect from the site, well, think of how many people you may have offended for your behavior and weigh the odds.
Matlu, thank you for giving those who are serious about playing rook a place to play, the others who want to party and talk dirty or start trouble, there's yahoo chat, set up a chat room and go at it.

According to my information Doger, that is not true, that moderators have been appointed. But then again what do I know, I'm just a normal player with an UNoffensive nic and a sense of moral values and who was raised by parents who taught me how I should act towards orders, who just wants a place to play Rook.
I'm sure Matlu has a lot more important things to do than to babysit a bunch of immature people who can't vent their feelings in real life.

I really do appreciate the site. I would hate to see it go b/c of all the drama in rook. The only way to control it is to either get a heartless mod with no emotions or ban certain words from lobby. All the cuss words and limit the amount of msgs someone sends per second...they will automatically get kicked if they go over.
I dont know what kind of coding it would take for all that but is it possible? Is it worth all that work?

Whompy...people we're banned that was innocent. You dont know the half of it.
I dont know everything that is going on because I personally dont care to get into all the " drama" that seems to take place in the rook lobby. When coming into the lobby and between games I do watch quietly and it is usually the same ones. Some do it for the attention while I think others ( and very few ) may be provoked at times but.... cant we all just try to behave like adults? If someone is acting a fool , dont join in because you end up looking as bad as they do. Just ignore them and eventually if they dont get the attention they are seeking they will go on.
Also as far as the naked nics, I personally have no problem with them, although I dont have any and dont plan to have any. I guess I just look at them as silly. I mean seriously dont you imagine if we seen over half the ones with them ACTUALLY naked we would run scared lol BUT....if the person that took the time and money to make a site so that we could play rook FREE says they dont like them then will it hurt us to respect that not to use them? Does the naked nics make anyone more sexy, more special , more popular than they already are? No, it is just a nic, nothing more, so what is the big deal about not using them in showing our appreciation for the job matlu has done.

This is what happens when you get people who drag other people in via instant message wanting them to jump on the "whoop you band wagon" just to add fuel to the fire!!!
If you are in the car when a bank robbery is commited then you are just as guilty as the one who did it, so if you are involved in a conflict and you get banned it doesn't matter who started it, who ended it or who fed the fire.
I agree with Cute I stay out of it, however, I have gotten involved on rare occassions and if I get banned for being involved then that is MY problem, not the sites', not the moderator and definetly not everyone on my Yahoo or MSN messenger list.
If biased moderators have been appointed and I say IF because I don't know for sure if they have and if they have I don't know who they are, but their actions will either keep them in that position or have that priviledge taken away from them if they........

Assigning moderators is a trial and error process, someone you THINK might make a good moderator might turn out to be someone who has no people skills what so ever.
As far as "innocent"???????? I know very few people on the Rook site that are truely innocent.
Bottom line is, that if you have a problem it is between you, the moderator and the site, NOT the "band wagon" that ya'll are trying to build to defend yourselves for whatever took place.
If there were rules on the site, do you think you would read them? How many people do you think read the Code of Conduct on Games.com? There were rules there and guess what, everyone complained that Games.com did not enforce their rules, now you have a site that won't put up with the crap that went on for years at Games.com and you're still not happy. Although there are no "written" rules, common sense should tell you what is appropriate and what is not, assuming the person has common sense, and if he/she didn't then a page of rules isn't going to matter to them to begin with.
AND YES PROROOK SHOULD BE BANNED FROM THE SITE FOREVER BECAUSE HE IS NEVER GOING TO CHANGE.
I also agree that an uncensored lobby would be nice for all you people who choose to use words that offend others or who like to have cyber sex, if by some means you feel this makes you more popular???????? ::)

Okay, let me put my 2 cents into this since you all are talking about my husband and his naked nics. For one thing he has had the nic KingNaked for the last 5 years and through two different sites (Games.com and Gameland). He has also used this nic at the Nashville Tourneys, Atlanta Tourney, and North Carolina Tourney and has never had a problem before. But now you have this new site where Maltu seems to have a problem with it and I do know why. I have never heard anyone say anything about his nics. I seem to like them. Everyone has their own nics that they like. I like mine, TweetyRulzz, and will always like it. As for the banning, people are getting banned for no reason at all. If they gonna ban people, then they need to find out what is really going on first before they go to banning and if they gonna ban one person for fighting then they need to ban everyone for fighting.

Anyway, I have posted a list of rules for Duelboard in another post so check those out if y'all haven't. Also, another thing that needs to be made clear here and now...... This entire site, Duelboard.com, belongs to Matlu. These games, this forum, our nics, etc.. ANYTHING on this site belongs to Matlu. A lot of ppl are saying that certain nics or words are getting them banned and they are upset about it. Truth is, if you had the nic "Blue" and Matlu didn't like it solely because he doesn't like that color, he could ban it. It might be unfair to you, but like I said before, this isn't a democracy. Just respect the fact that he's made a site and just be happy for once. This whining and bickering has gone on too long and as adults I would think we could get past something so mediocre. Also, some ppl are complaining when they know that in the back of their mind they have done something else besides using a "Naked" nic or whatever else(and I'm not talking about anyone in particular so no one needs to write back in defense of a friend or loved one). I know I'm guilty of some things as well so I'm not leaving myself out of this.

Josh, I think you failed to mention the NUMEROUS times I've warned you for harassing other players and cussing in the lobby. You are constantly mean to other players and now wondering why you are banned? Every time I warn someone of banning them I save the warning for Matlu to see. Maybe he was tired of getting constant emails of your harassment. Don't agree? Mad about this email? Don't act like you were banned for nothing when you have been told over and over to clean up your act. You got far too many chances and possibly could've been the exact person to ruin it for others in that we had to be more strict b/c of players trying to abuse friendship. It's really sad that you couldn't just listen the first time and I have now lost respect for you since you never really showed any for me.

Ya'll may know me as MR_JOSHUA, JOSHUA, & *coughs "JOSHY" ....i got freakin banned for no reason!!! they've been looking for reasons, after reasons, after reasons, I DONT KNO WHAT I DID to deserve to be always picked on!!! even with guests, sometimes i think the admin. would come into lobby w/ a guest NIC, and just to see what we say about them, or to the guest NIC!!!! OTHERWISE GUESTS WOULDNT BE ABLE TO TALK!!!! ..i'm sure that it would take some time to make guests not to chat.. i'm reall sure... ::) :-X
for example THe naked NICS??? com'on now?? its a NIC???? ....something OFF THE WALL TO GET MAD ABOUT... another example, RIGHT b4 i was banned, i was MSGed by the "admin" saying that for me to avoid "lmFao"<<<what the heck??? someone trying to tell me what to type now? is that not a SLANG in ANYYYYY chat ROOM??? i dont see that in ur rules PINKy!!!! and!!! and!!!! to beat it all, he msges me over and over.. Well i guess i have to post here , as all of u know by now i was banned from the site 2 days ago.........lol..............and this time ill tell u it was FOR NOTHING .........i was talking to King and Tweety and next thing i know i timed out and went to go back in and i was banned........That morning with king and tweety they was booted every 3 secs for nothing , but stating the facts for ppl...I believe if they was kicked then the person harrassing them should of been kicked, Hmmmmmmm but they wasnt , imagine that !!!As far as the site , it is a good site and ive told matlu several times that he has done a gr8 job with the site, But the day i was banned earlier that morning Matlu called sean a Idiot , sean was sitting in lobby talking , how is that right for the owner of the site to bash someone..over and over calling him a idiot and sean isnt suppose to or allowed to respond to Matlu's comments , and next thing hmmmmmmm sean was banned , I know there is MODs in there , But is it fair for the Mods to cuss u and harrass u and talk bad about u , but the minute u cuss back to them ur kicked or banned , how is that fair ????? good motto : what is good for the goose , is good for the gander......., As far as being disrespectful........i respect those who show respect to me.........Yea i talk alot in lobby , i love cutting up and having fun ...i mean its a computer and its ok to have fun ...........Back when i was being bashed everyday i went in there , with names like SANDRAISASLUT , SANDRAISABITCH , WHORESANDRA , IHATESANDRA, FUCKSANDRA ........but these nics was allowed in there and do what ever they wanted and these nics was allowed to remain in there .........How ever when i said something back to these nics i got threatened to be banned .......how is that fair??? Well, I got something to say pink. I never got any waring before I got booted or had my nic stolen. What you got to say about that. If Matlu and/or other mods continue to ban and bash the "innocent" (I wasn't there and won't pretend to know the entire story), the ones left will be the trouble makers.....ie Pro. I'm sure nobody wants that!!! As I posted before, perhaps a temporary ban of 3 days or a week would serve as a good warning without truly pissing people off. Also, if I ever get banned you can bet you will never see me in lobby kissing ass like I saw someone do the other day to get back in......I respect myself too much for that.
I totally agree with Mike....I will kiss no ones butt for anything. I also think that there should be a warning and if it is ignored then they can ban them for a few days but I think stealing nics or changing the password to nics so the person who made the nic cannot get into anymore is not right. I feel like I am at Games.com with the nic stealing. I had lots of games on my nic and it was red. I worked hard for it(no padding) and I did not appreciate it being taking away from me. There was nothing wrong with my nic and I think that Maltu should give it back to me just like it was. Thank you.
