Hello,

It is hard to believe, but there are actually some news regarding Cyber Battles.

As you all know, the game slowly became almost impossible to play, because modern browsers no longer support java. So I changed the game to downloadable application. I also made everything double size, so it can be played on modern HD monitors.

You still need to have java installed on your computer to play. Download the game from: http://duelboard.com/old/ Check it our to experience some blast from the past.

I just got a new username which is rookquen and I cannot play games? I got a ne oone because my rating was so low tht nobody would play,,,it was 39 so got this new one and cnt sign on in gme room,i have tried everything..and the people are sooo rude there,,,i said a prayer for them..now will you help me get in rook game please

Hello, I don't think Miss Kitty is a mod, you can tell a mod by a blue strip. Somebody else had to boot you

Do I understand correctly that there was some dispute regarding who can play in a tournament or sit at some place or something like that?

How do yo report a rude mod,,Miss Kitty was really rude and talked about everyone,,was nasty and was nasty to me for no reason, And I stood up to her an she booted me.She said she was no one to mess with ,like she was the only one that could talk about people,,she made fun of everything..I hit the action button to report but I don't know how that is dealing with anybody,,I love to play on this site but she was terrible. What to do?

Well, it's a sad story.

Mozilla/Firefox completely removed support for java applets in web browser. Some for Chrome. Instead they suggest to switch to "java webstart technology". I don't know yet how difficult it is to switch, I will have to look into it.

With Internet Explorer I managed to run the game, but it requires some tinkering.
1. In Internet Explorer, go to Internet Options/Security and use the slider to change security level to "Medium"  (medium-high is not enough)
2. In windows Control Panel, find java control. E.g. in Windows 7 click Start button / Control Panel and type java in search box. OR in Control Panel, click "Programs" and the java control should be there.
Once in java control, go to "security" tab, and add    http://duelboard.com   to exception site list. You need to add whole path, including /old
Then it works.

BTW I am impressed somebody still cares about CB at least little bit.

Now I see, while the game loads, it still won't work. It cannot connect to the server. Due to some increased security restrictions for java. I'll try to investigate what can be done about it.

Hey Matlu!! Me and my brother, and possibly some other people wanna hop back on here and play Cyber battles again! We both have Mac's but I think it should still work with Accepting the exceptions and everything, but it still keeps telling us "Connecting to server..." "Unable to connect!". Is there a way around this?? We really just want to get back on and re live old times, We're both running Java 8, but I think it can still work, thanks!
