Anyway, I just found a very interesting Chaos remake. Just though you might be interested. It's not finished, not multiplayer and probably also not playable yet, still it looks cool:

Nice find! Looks great!
I love the isometric view, and the way he stays so true to the original. He also has good ideas about getting it on the iPhone!
I shall definitley watch the project with interest
