I know I've discussed them minorly before, about how the game often freezes. And i mean very often. It's usually after I'm on a bit.  Here's the deal: The game freezes. And after that I can't logon to any other websites. The pages just won't load. I really want to play, but this wretched freezing makes me come on less :\ I know this has happened to several others on the game as well.

I was wondering if I could solve this by any means? I'm thinking maybe it could be my browser; if I used Firefox instead, would it freeze? Or perhaps it is something to do with my settings? Haven't a clue :\ But I wish it would stop.

To me it sounds like there is some serious problem with your computer or your internet connection. Many people play the game without such problems.

I know they do :( Yes, I have a horrible connection (Dial up), but I know that my computer is free from viruses; It's really baffled me :\

My computer is apparently free from spyware and viruses too, but it still crashes an awful lot. One virus/spyware scanner isn't enough.

To clean my computer I use:
Ad-Aware -- http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
SpyBot S&D -- http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

These are both free programs and aren't scams like many other spyware cleaners(which often install their own spyware/adware while pretending to be a good program and cleaning other companies stuff off your comp). They might even be better than other pay programs.

I also use SpywareBlaster to configure my ActiveX and restrict bad sites
(http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html)
It's also free and doesn't run in the background to protect spyware from getting on your computer. (This also has integrated FireFox protection)

Finally Microsoft offers a compound scanner/real time protection in its MicroSoft AntiSpyware program. It's still in Beta but does work great, I didn't keep it because I feel my other programs clean/protect better and don't run in the background. This is also available for free at: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx .

viruses aren't nearly the only thing that crash computers.  Especaily in Windows.   Windows is just gonna do that.  It's just the way windows is.

My windows xp is stable. At most 3 or 4 crashes in the past 4 months, with only 2 of them requiring a hard reset. It's fairly new and I've been careful to keep it clean. As for the topic creator, you ought to try out firefox anyway, regardless of if it helps or not. ;)
ZZ, to me you're nothing but one incredibly smokin' hott, built up, knowledgable hunk of man. And yes, I hope you put this in your sig too.

I freeze quite often too and im on DSL. I think the problem here is cyber battles takes up tooo much memory for sucky pc's w/ low ram like mine and mistress's.

I have 152mb available ram running on 350mhz and win98.

When i get frozen and i try to open up another program it says "not enough memory to open please close some programs" and when i close every single one of my programs ie still wont open so i have to restart my pc.

Time for us to get a new computer Mistress : ))))).
