Hafer: No

...
anyways, im gonna do it the same way the game 20 questions works, and they always start off with this: is it an animal, vegitable, mineral, other, or unknown?

Bakster

I had to think about that question for a while. But please enlighten me with the folk story, fairy tale or other verbally told story from which Santa Claus originates.

What kind of a question is that? "Mineral"?

Anyway, the answer is Yes.

haferhole1

no, when ur playing the 20 questions game, you pick a catagory to start off, so it has an idea of what to ask

Dodger

Mineral accounts for everything that isn't Animal or Vegetable.

Bakster

Isn't "vegetable" a bit specific? How about food or greenery...

And since mineral accounts for everything that isn't Animal or Vegetable, what's the point of Other and Unknown?

Dodger

Other is just a dumbass option, and unknown is pretty self explanatory.

Vegatable accounts for everything that grows, trees, plants, etc.

haferhole1

to end the confusion, i went to the website and copyed the rules, lets use em to save some confusion

OFFICIAL RULES

You should be able to answer most questions with either Yes or No, however, there are questions where the answer is not that simple. A horse is larger than a microwave oven, however, water is not larger than a microwave oven, neither is it smaller; the question is Irrelevant. Other questions may seem silly: Does a camel have four wheels? No, and neither does a motorcycle.

Try to answer the questions to the best of your ability and, if you are unsure, use Unknown.
Answers you can use:

Yes - You are sure about your answer of Yes.
No - You are sure about your answer of No.
Irrelevant - The question does not apply to your object.
Unknown - You are unsure of how the question relates or you don't know. The question will not be counted.
Sometimes - Sometimes Yes, sometimes No.
Maybe - Maybe it is, but you are not sure.
Probably - You are not sure but you think the answer might be Yes.
Doubtful - You are not sure but you think the answer might be No.
Usually - Most of the time, the answer would be Yes.
Depends - Your answer depends on how the question is interpreted.
Rarely - Most of the time, the answer would be No.

Asking Animal, Vegetable, Mineral or Other

Animal - Any of the kingdom (Animalia) of living things including multi-celled organisms as well as single-celled ones that have the capacity for spontaneous movement and rapid motor responses. They typically lack chlorophyll and the capacity for photosynthesis. Examples: a cat, a goat, a snake, a unicorn, protozoa.
Vegetable - Any of a kingdom (Plantea) of living things typically lacking locomotive movement or obvious nervous or sensory organs and possessing cellulose cell walls. Examples: an orange, a carrot, lettuce, a tree, algae.
Mineral - From the earth, an inorganic substance. Examples: a rock, water, iron.
Other - Something not animal, vegetable or mineral, maybe a mixture of all three. Examples: a toaster, an arrow.
Unknown - You are not sure how it should be classified, maybe no one does.
